Ghost

Ghosts are metaphoric symbols reflecting the unknown things that haunt us in our lives. The ghost manifests over time long enough to become a haunting in your house (mind/psyche). The more vivid and disturbing the haunt the more this issue has been neglected. Often times ghosts mirror our past unresolved memories, traumatic events, fears and anxieties in your life. If a ghost pulls your leg, strangles you or jumps on your back it would be related to sleep paralysis.

Ghosts are a very bad omen, suggesting that your difficulties will be overwhelming and your enemies will overpower you.

When you dream of characters that are 'not living,' yet still have a presence, something is unresolved within you and 'haunts' you. Explore what this character represents as a side of you that you have not processed or integrated. If the ghost frightens you or is hiding, that is all the more reason to explore the power that can be activated by giving it a voice and expression. If it is the ghost of someone who has passed, it can portray how you are processing the feelings associated with this passing. See Death.
