Unlike warm blooded and emotionally reactive mammals, reptiles are associated with being cold blooded and seeking protection. Dreaming of reptiles can show autonomous activity or instinctive reactions. The turtle can portray covering your feelings or insecurities when you are hurt or feeling shy. The turtle is also a common symbol of the collective unconscious and can represent merging with deeper aspects and potentials of the group.
