This dream alters depending if you are in audience or on the stage. The stage might be correlation to how you act or perceived by others in your walking life. What role you assume on stage might be what you portray to others.

To be in a theater or auditorium in a dream with dead people is symbolic of having wandered away from the truth, Prov. 21:16-17

Being at the theater in a dream allows you to examine your behavior objectively. Whatever is transpiring on the stage or in the movie is allowing you to examine how you are currently 'acting.'
