Smoke

Smoke is a warning sign that danger is around you. Fire is a destructive force that has the ability to destroy or transform. The location of the smoke and who is around you are little hints where the problem lies. This could be areas that you might be exploring in your unconscious mind that you could be getting close to the source of energy. Dreaming about a smoke alarm going off is a warning from your unconscious to pay attention to a destructive force that is starting.

Troubles or getting into problems

Symbolic of an irritating, lazy servant, Prov. 10:26. Smoke is also symbolic of how quickly the wicked vanish from their prosperous position, Ps. 37. 16-20

Smoke can be a 'smoke screen' that blocks your ability to see or a warning that something neglected is in peril. Unlike Fog, which is cold and damp, smoke is the result of fire and has the opposite meaning. Something may be smoldering that might be better extinguished. This is a case of knowing that 'where there is smoke, there is fire.'

In a dream, smoke means a partnership, an investment, or it could represent outside money which someone has placed with one’s own capital for business. Smoke in a dream also may mean meekness, or loss of property or capital. However, seeing smoke in a dream may mean profits only for one whose livelihood stems from dealing with fire. In a dream, smoke also represents an appalling or a horrifying calamity wherever it may appear.
