Intruder

To see an intruder in your dream symbolizes a metaphoric outside negative force entering your psyche. Our homes can represent the mind of the dreamer so an intrusion often represents the things in our walking life we might not control. However, this may or may not be an inside force, but rather relating to something unconscious that has entered or penetrated the mind of the dreamer – behaviors, feelings or beliefs that have been compromised. If you notice the intruder at the front door it shows that this threat still remains outside.

Having a dream of an intruder portrays an unintegrated part of you that is unacknowledged, yet seeks access into your 'house.' Since the house represents your inner architecture, dreaming of an intruder can symbolize the need to accept and find compassion for a part of you that may be in hiding. These types of dreams are common when early family dynamics may have labeled you a blacksheep in some way. In a dream, an intruder represents a stranger, a low spirited person who is much humiliated by others because of his cast or origin. In a dream, an intruder also may represent a messenger, a lively person, or a restless one.
